A common beetle seen flying around usually at dusk in early summer. Sometimes large numbers can be seen flying around the tops of trees, especially Eucalypyus. The larvae feed on roots in soil, usually under lawns, for a number of years before they emerge as adult beetles. 29.05.12. SW4594030947.
