This species was attracted to a domestic light and was found in a home. This species overwinters as an adult. D. heraclei and D. pastinacella are synonyms of Depressaria radiella. 26.11.12.

The majority of moths are caught and released straight away. A selection are kept for the purposes of identification, recording and photography, and are released soon after.
