A common biennial weed found widely across the estate. Can be found in lawns, path edges, on walls and in hedgerows. 27.07.11. SW4594030947.

This species has been made very unpopular by the media and this is wrong, yes it spreads widely and sometimes uncontrollably; but it supports a wealth of wildlife and should be left for wildlife when not a problem. Just count how many species of insects you can find on it during the sumer when it flowers and you'll see why.
